Sitting down and revving up a one-way link building campaign by getting other sites to link to your Web site in a single afternoon is great, but it’s only a great start to successful one-way link building.
Why? Because one-way link building is a lot like exercise: You need to do it regularly if you want it to work.
Conducting a strenuous, 8 hour workout once, and then doing nothing for weeks afterwards isn’t the best way to get fit. And building a bunch of links in a single day won’t do much for your Web site’s position on a search engine results page (SERP).
Exercise gurus often say that a half hour workout every day is far healthier than a two hour workout done once a week. And it’s the same with one-way link building. Consistency counts. In order to gain and maintain great positioning on SERPs, you need to do one-way link building regularly.
Also like exercise, you won’t see the results of healthy one-way link building immediately. Even if you’re doing it correctly and regularly, one-way link building takes time; sometimes a few months, before the real results start to roll in. But make no mistake, one-way link building is a powerful tool in gaining top search engine rankings.
